Meet at Mumbai Airport / Railway station and drive to Matheran. On arrival check in at hotel. Later, local sightseeing of Matheran, Charlotte Lake, Hart Point, Prabal Fort. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast visit Prabal Fort, Rambagh Point, Shivaji’s Ladder. Overnight stay at hotel.
Prabal Fort - Prabal Fort, presently in ruins, is located at the flat top Prabhal hills in the western side of Matheran. The fort, which is of historical importance, was captured by Chathrapathi Shivaji from the Mughals. On top of Prabal hills, there is a pond. There were two gateways and eleven towers in the fortifications and in 1818 the gateways were destroyed. Presently only the walls of three / four towers are remaining as a specimen of the grand old days of Maratha rulers.
Rambagh Point - One of most attractive picnic spot which offers a grand view of the vicinity and the wayside hilly ranges of Rambagh Point in Matheran. It is a perfect place to view the sunset.
Shivaji Ladder - Shivaji's Ladder, as the name suggests, with is shaped like a ladder, is the way down from a tree hill point to the Matheran valley. The great Maratha Emperor Chathrapathi Shivaji was using this way for his pleasure trips and hunting options in the Matheran hills.
Morning pickup from Matheran and drive to Lonavla. On arrival check in at the hotel. and later proceed for sightseeing.
